So, next time you have someone calling you nuts, feel good because maybe they feel your company is healthy for them *wink wink*.


"Nuts are rich in nutrients and are of the healthiest snacks" -Nuts, touted for their taste and convenience are seed kernels that are widely used as a snack. Most of the nuts contain a hard inedible shell which needs to be cracked to get the kernel. Nuts are high in fat and rich several nutrients like magnesium, Vitamin E and selenium. They are also low on carbs. These qualities make them greatly nutritious.


"Nuts help in weight loss and also reduce cholestrol levels in thr body" -Nuts are loaded with antioxidants. Antioxidants with polyphenols, neutralize free radicals which are unstable molecules that may cause cell damage and increase disease risk. Although being high in calories nuts are shown to aid in weight loss. Studies have indicated that our body doesn't absorb all the calories in nuts. Nuts having zero cholesterol themselves also help in lowering the amount of bad cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol.


"Nuts keep the sugar levels and inflammation in control" -Since nuts are low on carbs and do not increase sugar levels, this makes them good for people with diabetes. Thus including nuts in the diet for higher carb food is known to keep sugar levels in control. Having anti inflammatory properties is also one of the qualities of nuts. They are known to reduce inflammation too.


Nuts being high in fiber which. An be digested by the bacteria in our colon just adds to their benefits. So those lil sized nuts have large benefits and shall be a part of our diet.
