Reason behind pain in buttocks region when sitting for longer periods

"Major part of our day is spent in sitting, so pain in buttocks would be a serious concern" -What would be your answer if someone asks you What is something that you use for sitting every time? If your answer would be a chair or a stool, then you're wrong because everytime you use your buttocks to sit. That wasn't too hard to guess right. Since we spend a lot of time sitting, experiencing pain in our buttocks can cause concern.

"Constant pressure on back and tailbone leads to lower back and butt pain" -in the buttocks by sitting for long hours, which most of us do while doing our desk is jobs, leads to what doctors call lower cross syndrome or "dead butt" syndrome would be a little more memorable. The constant pressure by sitting all day on the back and tailbone can make the pain radiate to the lower body thus causing damage and leading to serious lower back pain and butt pain.

"All the discomfort starts from poor posture which can lead to several other issues." -The most common reason people get buttock pain is poor posture. However if posture correction is not done early thus can lead to different issues like arthritis, sciatica, bruising, coccydynia and and piriformis syndrome. Obstruction or compression of the sciatic nerve is the main cause of these issues. Also injured or strained tailbones can cause these problems. These conditions are worsened when sitting in uncomfortable and unsupportive chairs.

"Excercises , electro therapy and yoga poses can help a lot in treatment." -Treatment for these may include excercises, heats packs or physical therapy. A deep tissue massage can help a great deal but also excercise therapy like doing clamshells, side lying leg lifts and seahorse pose can be a good way to conquer the pain and discomfort but these may best be done under the guidance of a physiotherapist for best results and to avoid further injury.

Thus instead of sitting straight long periods we should take breaks and walk and also use chairs comfortable to sit on. For persisiting pain, you can visit Ahamyo at a physiotherapy clinic near you.
